Over at the Guardian Sportsblog, Paolo Bandini writes about the sad passing of Serie B side Livorno’s Piermario Morosini.
In the aftermath of the tragedy however, some touching news came about in the form of Udinese captain Antonio Di Natale – a close friend of Morosini – becoming the guardian of Morosini’s physically handicapped sister. He said: “I will ensure that the sister of Piermario [who is severely disabled] is not abandoned. She has already lost everybody. I will be there to help his sister, not just for a day, but for her whole life. The girl needs us. This is for her and for Mario.”
